Email marketing has proven to be effective in capturing potential users and customers’ attention when used properly. More and more businesses have turned to email marketing in recent years to reach their target markets to increase exposure and, in the process, increase sales. So what do marketers feel about email marketing and what do they feel is the best and most effective way to measure results most accurately?
According to a survey by Campaign Monitor, a whopping 89% of marketers feel that their email marketing has been successful and most regard the conversion rate resulting from marketing emails as their most important objective. The number of click-throughs that they get comes in in second place and growing the email subscription list is third.
When it comes to the deciding factor in determining the most useful performance metrics in email marketing, 57% of marketers surveyed agreed that the number of click-throughs is most important, with list growth and conversions coming in at second and third place with 49% and 47% respectively.
On the whole, most marketers (87% in fact, according to the survey) agree that the positive result of email marketing is increasing, with businesses being more and more successful in reaching out to their target markets and customers.
