According to a survey by Campaign Monitor, a whopping 89% of marketers feel that their email marketing has been successful and most regard the conversion rate resulting from marketing emails as their most important objective. The number of click-throughs that they get comes in in second place and growing the email subscription list is third.

When it comes to the deciding factor in determining the most useful performance metrics in email marketing, 57% of marketers surveyed agreed that the number of click-throughs is most important, with list growth and conversions coming in at second and third place with 49% and 47% respectively.
